Electric Fridays #13: Four Faces

A suitcase drowned in spacial reverb. The tones like drops of water, the ones that hollow out the stone.

Electric Fridays #12: Of a Long Day

It seems consecutive episodes of Electric Fridays got closer to each other than they were before. We’ll work it out. Nevertheless, this time a very quiet and slow piece, very mellow and peaceful.

Electric Fridays #11: Babylon

Already the 11th edition of Electric Fridays, weekly e-piano improvisations. This time a subtle song, a variation on the „Babylon” theme by Clandestine. The original itself is a very pleasing and surprisingly deep collage of nursery rhymes and traditional themes. Recommended.

By the way, I mentioned some great stuff coming up. And indeed, I’ve got three things to mention.

Electric Fridays #10: Sine Qua Non

Somewhat moody and relaxed, the certainty that it will all eventually make sense one day.

Electric Fridays #9: Can't Make Everyone Happy, Now Can I?

Today, another installment of Electric Fridays brings in some more negative energy. Some slight distortion came in unintentionally. I guess it’s the ultimate distortion week...

Yesterday I decided to switch jobs, hence the omission.

Electric Fridays #8: Lilac Picking

Another installment of weekly e-piano improvisations welcomes a distorted vintage suitcase e-piano.

PS. That’s right. I missed the improv yesterday... some days are just too short for the events they bring in.

Electric Fridays #7: On The Brink of a Breakdown

Today’s episode of Electric Fridays focuses on a couple of very sad stories that happen to my friends right now. Financial problems, severe health issues, relationship dramas... Strange coincidence, especially at this seemingly happy time of the year.

Improvisation recorded at 288 BPM, in 5/4.

Electric Fridays #5: Alone in the Garden

This week’s rendition of Electric Fridays, weekly e-piano improvisations. The inspiration is obvious for a Great Friday tune: the solitary son of God, terrified by the knowledge of his destiny and future events. And being afraid of death, even while knowing that it does not conquer all. No one there to help him, not even God himself.

Electric Fridays #4: Lullaby for My Son (Phase 1)

Another installment of Electric Fridays, weekly e-piano improvisations. This time a very calm tune, passed the lullaby test. Not a particularly successful rendering but consider this as work in progress.

Electric Fridays #3: Through The Wineglass

Third installment of Electric Fridays, a more subtle approach to the e-piano.

Electric Fridays #2: All Along The Watchtower / Sanctus (Phase 1)

Second installment of Electric Fridays, and a try to mix two radically different themes: Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” with a 12th century traditional Sanctus melody, as interpreted by Leszek Możdżer on his “Piano” album. This will definitely be retried as I’m not fully happy with the result (hence I didn’t mind the harsh cut at the end).

Electric Fridays #1: Dirty Business

Today’s installment of DailyImprov.net introduces Electric Fridays, a weekly e-piano tune. This one is a slow waltz based upon some late cogitation of mine.
